Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday offered his condolences to the families of those who lost their life in a plane crash in Indonesia.
He said that India stands with Indonesia in this moment of grief.
“Deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate plane crash in Indonesia. India stands with Indonesia in this hour of grief,” PM Modi tweeted.
The Sriwijaya Air Flight 182, a Boeing 737-500 plane with 62 on board, lost contact with the aviation authorities shortly after it took off from the Jakarta airport.
Indonesian rescuers pulled out body parts, pieces of clothing and scraps of metal from the Java Sea on Sunday.
