PM assures all possible support to tackle flood situation in Assam

PM Modi on Tuesday speaks to Assam CM Hemanta Biswa to enquire about the flood situation in the state and assured all possible support to tackle it.

In a tweet the Prime Minister said, “Spoke to Assam CM Shri @himantabiswa and took stock of the flood situation in parts of the state. Assured all possible support from the Centre to help mitigate the situation. I pray for the safety and wellbeing of those living in the affected areas”.

Due to heavy rains normal life has been affected badly in Assam and Maharashtra.

Two people lost their lives and over 3.63 lakh people were affected in 17 districts as the flood situation in Assam worsened on Monday. In a tweet Assam minister said during the time of flood crisis PM Modi standing with us.

Assam Chief Minister said, “Adarniya Pradhan Mantri@narendramodi ji telephoned all help to Assam to combat this menace. Current flood has gravely impacted the livelihoods of people. My gratitude to Adarniya Modi ji for standing with us at this hour of crisis”.

According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority Lakhimpur is the most affected district with 1.3 people affected, followed by Majuli and Darrang.
