Patna: The controversy surrounding the clash between two prominent coaching institutes in Patna has taken a dramatic turn, with police registering an FIR against educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, under provisions of the Arms Act. The development comes after a viral video allegedly showed a security guard linked to Khan Global Studies opening fire during the recent violence.
The dispute traces its origins to claims made by rival coaching institutes over the success of their students in the Bihar Police recruitment examination. According to reports, tensions escalated after both sides put up banners and posters celebrating their results, eventually leading to a confrontation between supporters of Khan Global Studies and Gyan Bindu Coaching.
Police had initially arrested Gyan Bindu Coaching director Roshan Anand following allegations of an attack on Khan Sir’s institute. However, the investigation took a new direction after a video surfaced on social media allegedly showing one of Khan Sir’s guards firing a weapon during the clash. Following the video’s emergence, police detained two security guards associated with the coaching institute and seized their firearms for forensic examination.
Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, an FIR has now been registered against Khan Sir at Kadamkuan police station. Authorities are examining the role of all individuals involved and have indicated that further legal action may follow depending on the outcome of the probe.
The incident has sparked widespread discussion in Bihar’s coaching sector, with students from both institutions staging protests and demanding a fair investigation. Meanwhile, police continue to investigate the violence, vandalism and firing that occurred during the confrontation.
