Paresh Rawal appointed as new chairman of National School of Drama

National Award winning actor Paresh Rawal was on Thursday appointed as the chairman of India’s premier theatre institute, National School of Drama (NSD).

Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel in a tweet congratulated Paresh Rawal on being appointed as the NSD chief by President Ram Nath Kovind.

“I am glad that students and artists will benefit from his talent,” Patel said.

National School of Drama made the announcement about its new chairman through a tweet.

“We are glad to inform ‘Hon’ble President of India @rashtrapatibhvn has appointed renowned actor & Padma Shri @sirpareshrawal as chairman of @nsd_india.’ NSD family welcome the legend to shower his guidance to NSD for achieving new heights,” NSD tweeted.
