Pakistan on Tuesday violated ceasefire, resorting to unprovoked firing and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Indian Army retaliated befittingly,” the defence spokesperson said.
“Pakistan violates ceasefire by unprovoked small arms firing & shelling with mortars along LoC in Shahpur, Kirni & Qasba sectors in Distt Poonch (J&K). Indian Army retaliates befittingly,” the spokesperson said.
Since the beginning of this year, Pakistan has committed over 3,200 such ceasefire violations.
