Former Congress leader P Sudhakar Reddy from Telangana who joined Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday will today take part in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Hyderabad.
He joined the BJP in the presence of party president Amit Shah.
BJP general secretary Ram Madhav was also present when Reddy joined the party.
“Sh Sudhakar Reddy, former Secretary, AICC resigned from d Congress party and joined BJP in d presence of Sh Amit Shah today,” Madhav tweeted yesterday.
Madhav further said, “Reddy has been a senior leader of the Congress party. He has joined BJP and has decided to work under the leadership of PM Modi. His joining BJP will strengthen the party in Telangana.”
The seven-phase Lok Sabha polls are scheduled to begin on April 11 and will end on May 19.
