India has reported 60,975 fresh cases of coronavirus and 848 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 31,67,324, while the death toll rose to 58,390, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 24,04,585 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 7,04,348 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients stands at 75.27%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Tuesday said a total of 3,68,27,520 samples have been tested up to August 24 of which 9,25,383 samples were tested yesterday.
