One dead, 15 injured in grenade attack in Srinagar

One dead and at least fifteen people were injured on Monday in a grenade attack in Srinagar.

The incident took place at a market in Hari Singh High Street in Maulana Azad Road.

Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “#Terrorists lobbed a #grenade on #civilians near #HSHStreet area in #Srinagar. Information is preliminary in nature. Further details shall follow.”

Last week, several people were injured when terrorists lobbed a grenade at a bus stand in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore.

On October 26, six security personnel were injured after an attack was launched on them in Srinagar’s Karan Nagar area.

The security forces were manning a checkpoint when they were targeted by terrorists.
