New Delhi/Pune: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval was conferred with the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak National Award 2026 in Pune on the occasion of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s death anniversary. The award was presented by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in recognition of Doval’s outstanding contribution to strengthening India’s national security and strategic interests.
Speaking at the ceremony, Amit Shah said that Ajit Doval has played a key role in every major national security decision taken since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014. Shah described Doval as one of the Prime Minister’s earliest and most trusted appointments in the field of national security and said his work has significantly strengthened India’s strategic and foreign policy framework.
Receiving the honour, Ajit Doval expressed gratitude and said he never imagined he would one day receive such a prestigious award. He dedicated the recognition to the nation’s service and urged the youth to contribute towards India’s progress and national interest.
The Lokmanya Tilak National Award, instituted by the Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Trust, is presented annually to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to nation-building and national development.
