Nirav Modi tracked down in London, now involved in new diamond business

Fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi, accused in the 13,000 crore Punjab National fraud case has been tracked down in London by a reporter of the British newspaper.

The UK Telegraph reported that the wanted billionaire has been living openly in a swanky 8-million-pound apartment in London’s West End.

According to reports, Modi has started a new diamond business in Soho.

In a video posted by the newspaper, Modi can be seen sporting a handlebar moustache.

The 48-year-old walked briskly in an apparent effort to lose the reporter.

When a journalist questioned him on various issues including whether he had applied for political asylum, Modi said, “Sorry, no comment.” Then he walked across the road in his black Ostrich hide jacket.

The newspaper also learnt from government sources that Nirav Modi had been given a national insurance number by the Department for Work and Pensions – needed to legally work in the UK and has been operating bank accounts online.
