Twenty-three people were killed and 14 injured on Friday in western Nepal when a bus carrying students and teachers plunged into a gorge, police said.
The fatal crash happened, when the bus carrying 37 people was returning from an educational trip in Kapurkot of Salyan district.
According to the reports, the bus drove off the road and fell some 700 metres down near Ramri village.
Fourteen people including five women were injured in the accident.
“The students and instructors from Krishna Sen Ichhuk Polytechnic Institute had been visiting a farm for their botany project, reports said.
Road accidents are relatively common in Nepal because of poor roads and reckless driving.
