Amid strict precautionary measures due to Covid-19, the 18-day monsoon session of Parliament began on Monday.
Addressing media ahead of the session, PM Modi congratulated and expressed gratitude to the MPs who chose the path of duty in these unprecedented times. PM Modi also lauded soldiers guarding the Line of Actual Control and said that he believes all members of the parliament will give an unequivocal message that the country stands with our soldiers.
At the start of the session, Congress party moved an adjournment motion in Lok sabha over Chinese incursion in eastern Ladakh.
Lok Sabha was adjourned for an hour after paying tributes to former President Pranab Mukherjee, one sitting MP, 13 ex-parliamentarians.
