The Executive Engineer (Building)-I, South Zone, Green Park, issued the demolition order under Section 348 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957, read with Section 491 of the Act.

According to the order, the MCD observed that the premises had been occupied or used despite the property being in a “ruinous/dangerous condition” and potentially posing a danger to people occupying, visiting, or passing by the building, as well as those in the neighborhood.

The civic body has directed the owner/occupier of the property to demolish the building within three days of receiving the order.

The order further states that if the direction is not complied with within the stipulated period, the MCD will undertake the demolition itself. The demolition expenses will subsequently be recovered from the owner/occupier as arrears of tax under the relevant provisions of the Act.

The order is dated September 6, 2026, and has been issued by the Executive Engineer, Building-I, South Zone.

The notice, however, does not detail the specific structural defects that led the MCD to classify the building as dangerous, nor does it specify whether any incident or complaint preceded the demolition order.
