Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday claimed a “moral victory” after the Supreme Court said that no arrest will be made against police chief Rajeev Kumar.
The TMC Supremo welcomed the Supreme Court’s verdict as a victory for her party and the people in the democracy.
When asked as to when will she call off the ‘Save the Constitution’ dharna, Mamata responded that she would talk to other leaders and take a call accordingly.
The top court has ordered Kumar to appear before the investigative agency in Shillong, Meghalaya and cooperate with investigation into chit fund scams.
The court will take up the issue on February 20.
