Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aaditya Thackeray, who is a minister in his cabinet, also accompanied him.
“The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Uddhav Thackeray as well as Minister in the Maharashtra Government, Shri @AUThackeray called on PM @narendramodi @OfficeofUT,” PMO tweeted.
The Shiv Sena chief is also expected to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and veteran BJP leader L K Advani.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in a tweet had said, “Yes, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will meet PM Modi. It is a courtesy meeting.
The BJP and the Shiv Sena who have been ally’s for years had a bitter fallout post assembly election in Maharashtra last year over the chief minister’s post.
The Sena later shook hands with Congress and the NCP to form the Maha Vikas Aghadi government.
