In Maharashtra, where cases of COVID-19 are the highest in the country, 53 journalists have been found to be COVID-19 positive in Mumbai. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday confirmed the news. As per information, samples of 171 journalists were collected, out of which 53 journalists tested positive for COVID-19. This news has stirred up media institutions across the country. The infected media persons include TV reporters, camera mans, print journalists and photographers. Most of these journalists with COVID-19 were asymptomatic.
Total number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra are 4203 with 223 deaths so far.
