Madhya Pradesh: Congress alleges its MLAs confined in hotel by BJP

In a midnight high drama in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress alleged that around eight of its MLAs were kept in hotel in Haryana by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as part of a conspiracy to topple the state government.

According to the sources, the Congress party alleged that several party and allied MLAs have been held forcefully at ITC hotel in Gurugram and not being allowed to go out.

Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said Ramabai, a suspended MLA from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was brought back from the hotel.

Congress leaders Jitu Patwari and Jaivardhan Singh brought back Ramabai from ITC hotel in Gurgaon’s Manesar.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath had asserted that there was no threat to his government, and no one needs to worry about it.

The opposition BJP, however, dismissed the claim of Congress and said the BJP has nothing to do in this matter nor is there any such attempt.
