Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday criticized the BJP Sankalp Patra, the party’s manifesto for Lok Sabha elections 2019, calling it ‘voice of isolated man’.
“The Congress manifesto was created through discussion. The voice of over a million Indian people it is wise and powerful. The BJP Manifesto was created in a closed room. The voice of an isolated man, it is short-sighted and arrogant,” Rahul tweeted.
The BJP on Monday released its manifesto promising zero tolerance against terrorism, huge investments in rural areas and the creation of sustainable job opportunities.
BJP in its manifesto has committed to bringing down the percentage of families living below the poverty line to a single digit in the next five years.
On the other hand, the Congress, in its manifesto launched last week, headlined the NYAY scheme, which promises Rs. 72,000 a year for 20 per cent of India’s poorest families.
