Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced that they are going to field Thushar Vellappally against Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad.
BJP has chosen the president of Bharat Dharma Jana Sena, Thushar Vellappally, as its NDA candidate from Wayanad, where Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is set to contest from.
The announcement was made by BJP president Amit Shah. He said Vellappally is a vibrant and dynamic youth leader.
“I proudly announce Shri Thushar Vellappally, President of Bharat Dharma Jana Sena as NDA candidate from Wayanad. A vibrant and dynamic youth leader, he represents our commitment towards development and social justice. With him, NDA will emerge as Kerala’s political alternative,” Amit Shah tweeted.
