Kerala has recorded second death after a 68-year-old died of the novel coronavirus at Thiruvananthapuram, the government said on Tuesday.
The patient was on life support for the past five days and was suffering from high blood pressure.
State Health Minister KK Shailaja in a tweet said, “A person aged 68, who was tested positive for COVID19 passed away at midnight yesterday in Thiruvanathapuram. He had prolonged high blood pressure and thyroid problems and had been on life support for the past 5 days.”
This is the second COVID-19 death in the state.
The first death in the state from coronavirus was reported from Kochi.
