A priest, of Kerala has been arrested for making a death threat to President Ram Nath Kovind.
The accused Jayaraman a priest of Chirakkal Bhagavathi temple in Thrissur called the police control room and said that he would bomb the St Thomas College where President Kovind is scheduled to attend a programme on Monday.
According to the reports, the police immediately traced the call details and arrested priest Jayaraman. The police said that Jayaraman did it under the influence of alcohol and forgot everything when he woke up the next morning.
President Kovind had arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday on a three-day visit to State. He will instate the ‘Festival of Democracy’ on Monday, to mark the conclusion of the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Legislative Assembly.
