Kerala on Monday confirmed the third case of coronavirus. Two more cases were reported from the state earlier and the patients are currently stable and in isolation.
“Third positive case of Novel Coronavirus patient has been reported in Kerala. The patient has a travel history from Wuhan in China,” the Health Ministry said in a statement.
“The patient has tested positive for Novel Coronavirus and is in isolation in the hospital,” the statement said.
“The patient is stable and is being closely monitored,” it said.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a new travel advisory urging everyone to refrain from travel to China; travellers on return could be quarantined. Also, anyone with travel history of China since January 15, 2020 and from now on could be quarantined.
