Kashmir has witnessed the season’s first snowfall, as a result, Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed for traffic.
Several flights to and fro Srinagar airport were cancelled, sources said.
The Mughal Road in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri was closed as a precautionary measure after snowfall in high altitude areas of the Pir Panjal mountains.
Telephone services have come to a standstill due to heavy snowfall.
In Himachal, Rohtang Pass and its nearby places at Gulaba and Solang valley in Kullu district also received fresh snowfall.
