Congress Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Dr Umesh Jadhav on Monday submitted his resignation to the Speaker of the Karnataka Assembly.
The reason for his resignation was not immediately known.
Jadhav a two-time MLA from the Chincholi constituency was one of four MLAs who had skipped two Congress Legislature Party meetings. The Congress had submitted a petition to the Speaker in his chamber to take action against the four under anti-defection law.
According to the Sources Jadhav is expected to join the BJP soon for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
