The person who allegedly threw a grenade at a bus stand in Jammu has been arrested, police said.
A man identified as Yasir Bhatt, a resident of Kulgam in Kashmir. Yasir was tasked by the Hizbul Mujahideen to throw the grenade, Jammu IGP Manish K Sinha said.
“Teams were constituted to work on leads, camera footage was examined and based on oral testimony of witnesses we were able to identify a suspect. He was detained, his name is Yasir Bhatt, he has confessed to the crime,” Sinha said.
A teenager was killed and at least 30 others were injured in a grenade explosion at the main bus stand in Jammu.
The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Mohammad Sharik, a resident of Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
