Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday conducted pre-dawn raids at six locations across Kashmir, including districts of Kupwara, Anantnag, Pulwama, and Srinagar.
The raids were carried out as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged misuse of social media platforms for unlawful and secessionist activities. The SIA aims to uncover individuals and groups involved in propagating secessionist and anti-India sentiments through various social media channels.
The case registered by SIA Kashmir focuses on India-based social media entities that are suspected of collaborating with foreign associates to spread hatred against India and promote terror activities. These entities are believed to be engaged in instigating and supporting acts of terrorism, as well as targeting government servants to hinder their lawful duties. During the raids, the SIA seized substantial digital and physical evidence, including mobile phones and SIM cards. The evidence will be analyzed to strengthen the case against the accused individuals and organizations, ensuring a comprehensive investigation and subsequent legal proceedings
