Two terrorists were killed on Saturday in the encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “#02 terrorists killed. #Identity being ascertained. #Search going on. Further details shall follow.”
A cordon and search operation was launched by security forces after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in Wanpora area of the south Kashmir district, a police official said.
The gunfight started when terrorists fired upon the security forces, who retaliated.
Police earlier in a tweet said, “#Encounter has started at #Wanpora #Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
