Two terrorists were killed on Tuesday in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Security forces cordoned off Safanagri village after getting specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, prompting the hiding terrorists to fire that led to the encounter, a police officer said.
The slain terrorists have been identified as Muhammad Idrees Sultan and Amir Hussain.Rather.
Police have also recovered incriminating materials including arms and ammunition from the site of encounter.
No collateral damage was reported.
According to the reports, the search operation is over now.
Jammu and Kashmir police tweeted, “two terrorists killed in the operation. Operation is over. No collateral damage.”
