Two terrorists were killed on Saturday morning in an encounter with security forces in Awantipora area of Pulwama district.
The encounter broke out between terrorists and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 55 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operations Group (SOG) in Pulwama’s Panzgam at around 2.10 am.
Kashmir Zone police earlier tweeted, “#Encounter is in #progress in #Awantipora. Further details will follow.”
Another encounter broke out at Dehruna village in Anantnag district.
“Exchange of #fire between #securityforces & #terrorists at #Anantnag. Area under #cordon. Details shall follow,” Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet.

On Thursday, three terrorists were killed in a gunfight with security forces in Pulwama district. One Army jawan and a civilian also lost their lives in the operation.
