Two terrorists were killed on Wednesday in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam.
Kashmir zone police in a tweet said, “#MouchwaBudgamEncounterUpdate: 02 unidentified #terrorists killed. #Operation going on. Further details shall follow.”
Earlier Kashmir zone police said, “#Encounter has started at #Aribagh #Machama area of #Budgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
Chinar Corps-Indian Army in a tweet said, #Update -Op Machowa, #Budgam. One AK and one Pistol recovered. Joint Operation in progress.”
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Budgam area after receiving inputs about the presence of terrorists there.
As the security forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.
