Two terrorists were killed on Monday in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district after they attacked a joint team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The terrorist attack claimed the lives of two CRPF jawans and one special police officer (SPO).
After the terrorist’s attack, security Forces cordoned the area and launched a search operation.
During the joint search operation, hiding terrorists fired at the Security Forces, which was retaliated by them in which two terrorists were killed.
Security forces have also recovered arms and ammunition from the site of encounter.
“1 more terrorist killed (total 2). Operation going on. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Zone police tweeted.
Earlier in the day, terrorists fired upon a joint naka party of Police and CRPF near Kreeri area of Baramulla. Two CRPF and one Jammu and Kashmir police personnel sustained critical gunshot injuries. They later succumbed to their injuries at a hospital.
