Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans and special police officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir police have lost their lives after terrorists attacked security forces in Baramulla district on Monday.
The security personnel sustained critical gunshot injuries as the terrorists attacked a joint team of CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police at Kreeri area of Baramulla district.
Later, they succumbed to their injuries at a hospital, police said.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “#Terrorists fired upon joint naka party of Police and CRPF near Kreeri area of #Baramulla. Two CRPF and one JKP #personnel sustained critical gunshot injuries who later on succumbed at hospital and attained #martyrdom. Area cordoned off, search ops on. “
The area has been cordoned off and a search operation is on to nab the terrorists, police said.
