Two policemen have lost their lives after terrorists attacked a police party in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
The attack took place in the Nowgam bypass area located in the outskirts of Srinagar.
Three police personnel were injured in the attack. Two of the personnel succumbed to their injuries during treatment at the hospital, police said.
Security forces have cordoned off by the entire area and search operations are underway to nab the terrorists.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “#Terrorists fired #indiscriminately upon police party near #Nowgam Bypass. 03 police personnel injured. They were shifted to hospital for treatment where 02 among them attained #martyrdom. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow.”
