Three terrorists were on Monday killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Police have recovered arms and ammunition from the site of encounter.
“03 #terrorists killed. #Arms & ammunition recovered. #Identities & #affiliations are being ascertained,” Kashmir Zone police tweeted.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following information about presence of terrorists there, a police official said.
The terrorists were asked to surrender but they opened fire towards security forces, triggering an encounter in which three terrorists were killed, an official added.
