Three unidentified terrorists were killed on Monday in an encounter with security forces at Khulchohar area of Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “03 #unidentified #terrorists killed. Identication being ascertained. Search going on. Further details shall follow.”
Security forces launched a search operation following inputs about the presence of terrorists in Khulchohar area.
The operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists fired upon the security forces, who retaliated, triggering an encounter.
Indian Army earlier in a tweet said, “Joint Operation was launched today early morning on @JmuKmrPolice inputs. Cordon was laid & contact established. Firefight ensued. Joint Operation in progress.”
