One terrorist was killed on Wednesday in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
After receiving specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area, security forces launched a cordon and search operation.
“As the cordon was tightened, terrorists fired at the security forces, triggering an encounter,” a police officer said.
Jammu and Kashmir police earlier tweeted, “Brief exchange of fire between SFs and terrorists at #Pulwama. Area under cordon. Information is preliminary in nature.”
