One terrorist was gunned down on Thursday morning by security forces in an encounter that broke out in Handwara area of Jammu and Kashmir.
The encounter began in Kralgund area of Handwara with a brief exchange of fire.
A search operation is still said to be underway.
Internet services have reportedly been suspended in the area.
