Security forces on Monday gunned down a top terrorist of the Jaish e Mohammad, the Pakistan-based group and the mastermind of the Pulwama terror attack that killed at least 40 CRPF personnel on Thursday. Kamran, one of the three terrorists killed in an encounter. He was a close aide of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar.
Another top Jaish terrorist killed in gunfight was Hilal Ahmed, a local bomb specialist.
Jammu and Kashmir police tweeted, “#Pulwama encounter update: Third #terrorist killed. One #colleague HC Abdul Rashid martyred in the #encounter. Identities & affiliations of killed terrorists being ascertained. Arms & ammunition recovered. Case registered.”
Kamran was among the three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists killed in the encounter, which claimed the lives of four soldiers, including a major.
He was an Afghan war veteran and an IED specialist and joined the terror group in 2008.
