Jammu and Kashmir police arrests DySP in Srinagar

Jammu and Kashmir has been arrested in Srinagar on charges of corruption, extortion, and fraud. The arrest comes after a police team conducted a search of DySP Sheikh Aadil Mushtaq’s residence two days ago.

It is reported that in an attempt to evade arrest Sheikh Aadil had fled from his house. However, during the search of his residence, the police discovered incriminating evidence, including documents and electronic devices stored on a laptop.

Subsequently, an FIR has been filed against the officer at the Nowgam police station, and he was apprehended by the authorities today.

To ensure a thorough investigation into the matter and to explore any potential serious implications, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established under the leadership of the Superintendent of Police.
