Pakistan on Saturday violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Balakote sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.
Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along LoC at about 11.40 am in Balkote sector, a Defence spokesperson said.
Indian Army retaliating befittingly, the spokesperson added.
Since the beginning of this year, Pakistan has committed over 3,200 such ceasefire violations.
