A gunfight broke out on Tuesday between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The encounter began during a cordon and search operation in Shopian’s Zainapora.
As per the sources, around 4-5 terrorists are believed to be holed up in the area.
Jammu and Kashmir police tweeted, “Exchange of fire between security forces & #terrorists at Heff Shirmal area in District #Shopian. Area under cordon. Details will follow.”
No casualties have been reported so far.
