Four soldiers were injured on Thursday during a gunfight with terrorist on the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowgam sector of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the reports, army noticed some suspicious movement near the Sangam post on Line of Control and challenged the suspected militants in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
The infiltrating militants started firing towards the position of Army personnel, triggering an encounter.
Four soldiers were injured in the exchange of fire and were evacuated to a medical facility in Kupwara.
The entire area has been cordoned off.
