An exchange of fire began on Wednesday morning between security forces and terrorists at Gund Brath area of Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The gunbattle started after security forces launched cordon and search operation in the area after receiving specific information about terrorist presence.
According to an official, as the security forces closed in, the hiding terrorists fired upon them and the latter retaliated, triggering an encounter.
