An encounter broke out on Monday morning between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet, “Exchange of #fire between #securityforces & #terrorists at #Anantnag. Area under #cordon. Details shall follow.”
The area has been cordoned off.
According to the reports, the exchange of fire is currently underway.

This came after five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were martyred and at least two others were injured on June 12 when terrorists carried out an attack on a busy road in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
