Curfew was imposed on Thursday following clashes in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bhaderwah town in Doda district.
According to the Official sources, clashes broke out between two groups of people following the murder of Nayeem Shah.
The family of Shah alleged that he was a victim of cow vigilantism, police said.
Soon after the incident, the deceased’s family attacked the Bhaderwah police station and damaged vehicles, police added.
According to the sources, Nayeem Shah was coming from Chatergala side after reaching a spot near Nalthi area, he was killed and another person received splinter injuries (in firing).
Police have recovered Shah’s body from Nalthi Pul area of the town.
Army has been called by authorities to assist the civil administration to maintain calm in the town.
As per the officials, curfew will remain in force till further orders.
