An army major and a soldier were killed on Friday in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, officials said.
According to the sources, the IED was planted by suspected terrorists on a path along the Line of Control to target army soldiers patrolling the border line in the Laam belt of Nowshera Sector of Rajouri district.
In blast, two soldiers were injured, including a Major, they were immediately rushed to the hospital where they succumbed to injuries, the officials said.
