Three policemen were killed and another injured on Tuesday in a militant attack on a guard post in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the reports, the policemen were keeping watch on a residential area and were inside their guard room when the militants fired at them at Zainpora village in Shopian.
The three policemen died on the spot and the fourth policeman who received critical injuries was rushed to a hospital, where his condition was said to be critical, the officials said.
The militants also decamped with weapons of the policemen.
The entire area has been cordoned off, police said.
A search operation has been launched by police to trace the militants.
