Legendary British actor Sean Connery, best known for playing fictional detective James Bond in a number of films, has passed away. He was 90.
He was the first actor to play Bond onscreen-Dr No in 1962 which he followed up with six more bond films-From Russia with Love (1963), Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), You Only Live Twice (1967), Diamonds are Forever (1971) and Never Say Never Again (1983).
The Scottish actor featured in many critically acclaimed and commercial blockbusters and won many awards during the course of his career.
He won an Oscar for supporting actor for his performance as a tough Irish policeman in “The Untouchables”.
He also won three Golden Globes and two Bafta awards.
