The Supreme Court will on Tuesday pronounced a verdict on the bail plea of former finance minister P Chidambaram in the INX Media corruption case.
The court had reserved the order on October 18.
Chidambaram had filed a plea challenging the Delhi High Court verdict dismissing his bail plea.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed chargheet against Chidambaram.
The charge sheet named 13 other accused, including the Congress leader’s son Karti Chidambaram, INX Media co-founders Peter Mukerjea and Indrani Mukerjea.
The ED on October 16, arrested the former finance minister after questioning him in Tihar jail where he was lodged since September 5.
The ED has filed a criminal case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to probe alleged irregularities in the grant of Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval to the INX Media group.
