India’s COVID-19 cases rise to 1,38,845, Death toll at 4,021

COVID-19 cases in India has risen to 1,38,845, with 4,021 fatalities. There are 77,103 active cases while 57,720 have been cured/discharged, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.

Maharashtra has highest COVID-19 cases – 50,231, followed by Tamil Nadu – 16,277, Gujarat – 14,056 and Delhi – 13,418.

Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Dr Harsh Vardhan yesterday visited Chaudhary Brahma Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan, Delhi which is functioning as a Dedicated COVID Health Centre (DCHC), to oversee the preparedness to manage COVID-19 cases. He visited the various facilities and wards and witnessed first-hand the treatment being provided to COVID-19 patients, through a holistic approach as per the directions of Ministry of AYUSH.

Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Sunday issued a Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) for movement of Indian Nationals stranded outside the country and for those persons stranded in India who are desirous to travel abroad for urgent reasons.
